  • Pranks are an old time tradition, and Santa Rosa High School has seen its fair share of them.
Once, Desoto students were evacuated and fire extinguishers were brought out. The root of all this chaos was a smoke bomb and a student from a rival school. But this wasn’t just your run of the mill smoke bomb; it was the kind they use to warn of forest fires. In the end the perpetrator was caught, expelled from the entire district, and he was forced to pay for the damages.

  •  Santa Rosa alumni and successful authors David Vann and Scott Gummer are returning to their roots in November to share with us the stories they've written.
David Vann has published A Mile Down: the True Story of a Disastrous Career at Sea, Legend of a Suicide and Caribou Island.

  • Pauline Beck is a sixteen year old Senior, much like many of the other exchange students. She comes to Santa Rosa from Colmar, France.
"I love art," Beck said. She enjoys both preforming and visual arts, from ceramics to drama class. In her spare time, she dances at Ellington Hall. Pauline also plays guitar, writes her own songs, and plays a few pieces on the piano.

  • You hear about it all the time. Your friend had their jacket stolen. That kid in your English class suddenly had his iPod go missing. Maybe even you personally had something special taken away from you. And all you can do is wonder "Why?". What really motivates someone to steal in the first place?

  • Armed with only a flashlight, camera, butterfly net, and baby (for some reason they are better at seeing ghosts) I trekked out to the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery at night in hope of finding a ghost, ghoul, troll, or even a person with a sheet over their head. Not surprisingly I found something that every so called "ghost investigator" finds... absolutely nothing of scientific interest.
